The Challenge
As part of an update to corporate policy, as well as insurance recommendations, Arysta Lifesciences in Evesham required a full DSEAR survey and Risk Assessment to be carried out at their premises. Prompt attention was required and the Mesh team visited site in October 2016, within two weeks of initial enquiry.
The Solution Provided
The remit for the survey was site-wide and so aspects such as storage and use of : Natural gas; Gas cylinders (flam and non-flam); Flammable liquids (fuels and laboratory); Combustible organic powders; Corrosive substances; Were to be considered. Although not a large facility, areas were generally found to be well controlled, with particular praise going to their approach to separation and safe storage of flammable substances in a dedicated external store.
