Emergency services rushed to the site following reports of the blast with the injured being rushed to local hospitals. Six of the injured were said to be in a serious condition while one person was confirmed to have died at the site.

Officials said the exact cause of the blast is unknown, however local media reported that the incident had been a dust explosion. While extinguishing the blaze and during cooling efforts, several firefighters were injured and were taken to hospital as a precaution.
